Leah and I are praising God for the birth of our healthy twins, Jude and Estella, on October 5, 2005. The babies came a little early, as twins are known to do. Babies and mother are doing very well. Hopefully they will make an appearance at the Christmas CD release concert!
Thank you for your prayers!

TOYM AwardMark was very honored to receive an award on Saturday, September 10 in Rochester, MN. He was honored as one of "Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans". This event was sponsored by the Minnesota Jaycees. Here is the letter written by President Gregory A. Green:

Dear Honorees, Honored Guests, and Fellow Jaycees,
It is my honor and privilege to introduce the Minnesota Junior Chamber's Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotan Award recipients for 2005. As you read their stories, you cannot help but to become engulfed by their inherent desire to achieve and passionate determination for success.

Their willingness to dedicate themselves to a cause, overcome what some may perceive as insurmountable obstacles, or simply having the presence of mind to seize opportunity, prove them to be worthy role models for future generations. They are not afraid to stand up for what is right and fair and have the courage to endure in the face of adversity.

They are people of perseverance, unquestioned integrity, incredible knowledge, genuine experience, amazing talent, relentless stamina, contagious ambition, and sheer hard work. Their acheivements were not driven by their hopes to achieve this prestigious award, but rather by their fortitude and genuine caring for others.

We should always remember and never underestimate the value of Minnesotans such as these, for they continue to contribute long after the spotlights have been turned off and the crowds have left. It is with my heartiest congratulations that we celebrate and honor their achievements and wish them continued success this evening.

For each of them, in their own way, are remarkably outstanding.

Gregory A. Green
74th President
Minnesota Junior Chamber

In receiving this honor, Mark joins a group of recognizable Minnesotans such as Diana Pierce, Mark Dayton, Guy Doud, Paul Douglas, Frank Quilici, Milt Sunde, Walter Mondale, Wheelock Whitney and others.

Mark is honored to receive this award and humbly thanks Brenda Gagnon and the Otsego Jaycees for nominating him.

July, 2005
It has been another busy month with 12 performances of "Fiddler on the Roof" at Mounds View Community Theater. It feels so good to be doing theater again. There was a time when I never thought I would be able to dance on stage again...but once again I have learned to never limit God and his plans for us.

I will be heading down to Nashville to record the Christmas album in August. I am excited to be using the same producers that I used for "Bless The Day". We will be releasing "Christmas This Year" at North Heights Lutheran Church on Saturday night, November 12 at 7:00. Once again I will be joined by the North Heights Choir and I am very excited about that. Please plan to attend and bring many friends!

I just recently found out that I have been chosen as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans. There will be a banquet and ceremony in Rochester, Minnesota where I will be given this award. I am very honored! Thank you for visiting my site and for taking the time to read this page. God bless you in all you do!!!

Wow, it was a busy April. The Passion Play at North heights Lutheran Church was awesome! I had so much fun playing the part of Herod and then turning around 10 minutes later and singing "Watch The Lamb" as Jesus is being led down the road to Calvary. I believe over 20,000 people came to the show and several committed their lives to the Lord. What a blessing!
I caught the theater bug after that show and am currently in rehearsals for "Fiddler on the Roof" at Mounds View Community Theater. The show will run in July and the dates and times will be on the Events page. I'll be playing Perchik, the student who tries to change the traditions in Anatevka and falls in love with Tevye's daughter, Hodel.
I recently got back from Nashville where I was writing more songs for the Christmas CD. We'll be recording in August and will release the CD in November. Watch for the release date because we'll have a huge party again! We've also had so many requests to record "The Prayer" that we have decided to record it on the Christmas album. Many of you are finding out that my wife, Leah, is quite the singer. She will be recording in August at 6 months pregnant...with twins! We're very excited about that and are expecting them the beginning of November.
Thank you all for your love and support and may the Lord bless you and bless your day!

March, 2005
Well it was another busy Christmas with 10 shows of "A Country Christmas Celebration" at Celebration Church in Lakeville, MN. I spent much of the holidays writing songs for the Christmas album I am planning on releasing in November, 2005. You've got to write them while there is still snow, right? I'm really looking forward to recording some of the great Christmas songs as well as some new ones that I've written.
I am also looking forward to being a part of the North Heights Passion Play in Arden Hills, MN this year. Please see the Events page for ticket info. I will be playing the part of Herod and singing the classic "Watch the Lamb". It's an amazing show with a huge cast, live animals and all kinds of special effects and surprises. I encourage you to experience this powerful show! Blessings to you all!
